MPC5000 reviews, bug reports and fellow user support on the most recent standalone, hardware MPC from Akai

Hi friends. I have some short, clear questions.Don't wanna take your time so i'll try to be concrete.

1st - I can't find where are the factory synth presets on my MPC5000 ... I bought it used, but it came with the factory Loopmasters sounds in the HD Drive and it seem the 1st owner has not changed or deleted anything from the drive. But there are only 15-20 synth program (.50v files) on it. AKAI say the 5000 has 300 factory presets (some say 500) but i can't find the place for loading them. And i don't see a reason why should have the first owner to delete them ...

2nd - When i want to copy one sequencer to another the copied sequencer will have the same tracks and bars like the first one BUT the programs don't match to each track and i have to set them manual track by track every time and that's a hell.

3th - The timing on the 5000 is really complicated for me. It's much more complicated than my 2000xl. I'm changing the parameters like crazy and when i press the pad and then DO IT - nothing happened.Or in other situation the sound will move too much ... It was so easy on the 2000xl plus the 5000 does not have a reset function on the timing and now i can't even switch off the timing because i don't know the default parameters. For instant - would you tell me what parameters should I use if I need only the kick to hit with a little delay and the rest of the drums to be in a normal position. Also i'll be very thankful if you inform me what parameters should i use if i don't need any timing. These WINDOW and STRENGTH tunings are so confusing ... Thanks

to 1:
i am not sure how many synth progs i have but never ever 300.
i am not too happy with the presets so i never used them, and its not too hard to tweak new ones.

2:
i do this very often w/o any problems. i suggest you to update to OS2

3.
not sure why its so hard to understand for you. there are the same parameters like on every other mpc, expect the strength (but this was also available on the 4k)
i have a 3k side by side and i can tell you the 5k has a very good timing and the swing isnt different from the 3ks (at least not noticeable)

i would suggest you to read the manual. btw: i never use the strengh setting. and of course you can swith the tc off.

cheers

dreadnutz ,thanks for the answer my friend. I have the OS2 installed so it's should not be the reason for my problems.Of course I always read the manuals.I know what's the meaning of every function but the problem is that i just can't make it to work like it should to .. And that's what these forums are for.The synth presets may not be 300 but i'm sure they are not 15 as well. I was watching one guy on youtube presenting the 5000 on NAMM and he was browsing through a huge list of factory synth presets which i can't find on my HD Drive.

Yes,the timing of the 5000 is probably one of the best like everything else on this beast. I love this machine,it's made with love.Just have to resolve these 2-3 problems and i'll be 100% satisfied with this purchase. And yes, the synth is good by itself,I love tweaking but sometimes i'm lazy and i wanna stress on the creative process of the beat. Except of copying the bars from one sequencer to another do I have to go to EVENTS to copy the tracks too or i have to do this from TRACK MOVE menu ? Would you tell me what exactly you do to copy one sequencer to another ? Thanks
