MPC2000xl to DPS12i recorder?

I got them hooked up but i can get no sound from the DPS when i try to record my MPC seq. They are only hooked up threw MIDI, some one please help.

the audio out from the MPC to audio inputs on the DPS. Also make sure that the audio outs of your DPS are connected to a mixer or stereo. If you don't have a monitor system use headphones.

MIDI cables dont transsfer audio, only data. If you got the assignable 8 outs, hook them up to the inputs of your DPS.
