First time midi'er

It all makes sense.

Earlier I said about getting a sound card with midi ins/outs but I've done searching around and I am going to purchase the E-MU XMIDI 1X1 instead; http://www.long-mcquade.com/products/5375/ ... 30 bucks.. cant go wrong..

USB out (of the midi interface) connects to the computers USB in - a midi cable connects to the mpc's midi out A port to the interfaces midi In port - correct?

Hopefully then I will be ready to go!

I see that for $23.75 more, you can have another midi port when you find you need to expand. The 2x2 version of what you're looking at offers more bang for your buck than that 1x1.

That's what I'd go for.

I am having the same problem w/ analog factory. I think it's an arturia thing because I have prophet v & cs80v & I am able to record via midi to my mpc.
