hi guys,
does mpc2000 or 2000xl originally contains steel plate that u can install 8 out extension card on?
i have an 8 output board taken out from akai s2000 but plate that i have in s2000 is different than mpc one. i want to sell board and i dont know like if someone going to but just a board itself without any steel plate do he have to but plate separately or is it in mpc already?
one more question, is cable that connect board with mpc is same as one for floppy disk drive?
thanks

the plate is just to cover the hole. ill trade you the output card for the steel piece. :)

the cable is different.

Sorry, but I have to correct you Grub. First, I think he is speaking about the big mounting plate the board is mounted on in the S2000, and this one will not fit in the MPC. You will have to find another means to mount it, usually attaching some matching washers to the jacks is sufficient.

Secondly, I am successfully using the floppy cable from the MPC to connect the 8-out board in mine, so it can't be that different.

A. I see that now after re-reading that broken speak.

4. That is very good to know, might have to check into it.

heh, yeah i was talking about the big one that u mount "8 out board" on it, not the one which cover jack holes.
english is not my everyday language :-), anyway, someone interested to but it? i will sell it for 100 Euro
oh, u didn't gave me an answer, is that plate already inside?
