mpc 1000 used as a vocoder?

i heard this was possible. To connect a mic to the mpc and there are some settings that allow you to alter the vocal sounds. help anyone?

input through (maybe even pitch shift) would give you access to efx and filters, but you won't get anything that sounds like a vocoder

You could get the microkorg, it's cheap. Or look for a talkbox for vocoder'ish voices.

Da Vinci from Solliloquy of Sound had some Youtube footage up of his 1000 tricked up with a talkbox he'd made... I just did a quick search for it though and couldnt find it! theres plenty of footage of him demonstrating how you can flip an MPC though - definitely worth a look!
