It could be 8 bit, but with a very low sample rate.

very interesting toy to run saples thru. but i bought my tx16w (that also can get really dirty) for a few bucks more so I wont buy this one

The ability to run stuff through yhis thing and effect it with different loops sounds really cool. Do they sell these at K-Mart, or Walmart, or are they just an online item...

This thing is great! I spent all night putting a Casio rz-1 into the sort of one-shot/pitch shift effect effect using the hold button. Put through a mackie into the mpc 4k the kick hits you right in the chest without being boomy and the hats sound crisp and crunchy. The rz-1 snare still stinks, no matter what, but hey, 3 out of four samples ain't bad. Cheap too! Great find.
