I have the XL and out of any pad device I've tried from Akai (or any other company for that matter), the XL pads feel the best. Very soft with a nice bouncy response and very good sensitivity for hits in both velocity and pressure.
I'm in the process of tricking out my XL with new colors and whatnot and I wanna switch to black pads like mpcstuff.com sells but I wanted to know if they compare to the 2000xl pads. I'm ok with them not being 100% the same, I just don't want something that feels like an MPD (horrible) or the mpc 5k (pretty bad as well).
