Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Is it possible on the 2000xl?

Either do it while recording and hiting a pad, or after recorded, overdubing the panning...

i'm speaking about dynamic panning, like pushing from right to left, and vice-versa, to create dynamics with that method.

Go to Shift+7 Mixer mode, press F5 Setup, navigate to "record mixer changes", toggle "no" to "yes".
I would suggest to record in a separate track for Mixer Events, more simple to edit afterwards with the step sequencer. And youre able to switch on / off dynamics via track mute..

hope this helps.. pz

Oh, youre right.. didn't think of that.!
Nice workaround for creating a simple effect..
But it will "pan" (more fade) from one to the other side only.
If you want to do "real panning" you have to do it in your recording software after or while
recording separate tracks..
Or if you use a external mixing desk hooked to 8 outs , do it live while recording.
