Because one MIDI output means you have only 16 MIDI channels at your disposal and you'll have to daisy chain your MIDI instruments. Therefore NI need to add MIDI output selection next to the MIDI channel selection (see chapter MIDI Output from Sounds). Once they've done this, you can add as many MIDI outputs as you want (>4 MIDI outputs).
