yo i just started sampling from vinyl fairly recently
i also got an asr-10
and what ive been wanting to do is start making a lot of beats, in quantity, so that i get better with each one (don't waste your time telling me that this is not how to get better.. either way, its what i want to do, (and im not trying to sound bitter))
but what i need right now is to be able to sample some (NICE) drums, without having to look through records for hours for open ones, cause i want to put all my time into working with the asr.
i have ONE "breaks" record that came with my technics. i have used all the drum loops on them, and i know i can still reuse them.
but what should i do, do you think my local record store would have records with open drum breaks on them that are made to be sampled like the one i have? (excuse my noob terminology, maybe there is a name for this type of record).
this is just until i have the time to hunt down my own drum sounds.
thanks in advance
