I know where you getting at, but this has nothing to do with the "quality" of the 5000. More with the costs. For one 5000 you can get a 2500 and a 500 for the seminar to use.

next to the monitor big screen tilted up. Also not having mpc 5000 in seminar is probably more about the fact that most people just have 1000s and 2500s.
