TapeHead and L2007 are my most used - great plugins regardless of price.

The Limiter is firstclass. The best limiter I have used.

Tracks maintain transients and density no problems using the limiter.

The tape saturation plug is a good saturator. Having a few in your setup is recommended because they all seem to have different strengths and weaknesses. Use sparingly.

Remember he was originally a programmer for Digidesign and he's very smart when it comes to the requirements of the end user.

He designed his plugs to give the results of using _ _ _ _, he just didn't use it as a marketing ploy and created a more common sense interface.
For lack of better way of saying it he makes his plugs simplistic so they don't get in your way.
Very similar to what URS does with some of their plugs.

I use the CT4 compressor on just about every project I do, its is pure class for drums.
I'm a bit cheap when I comes to putting my hand in my pocket for plugs, but this was a must for me.

i've been using eq, comp, limiter and tape head for the past 3 years.

eq : most of time i prefer digidesign eq3 which is way more easier to tweak (and visual), especially on tricky stuff like voice and acoustic guitars

comp : yes, everywhere. it just does the job, easy to use, very effective but still subtle at the same time

limiter : BAM !

tape head : yes, not everywhere, not too much - obviously it depends on the original material.

overall : KILLER plugs for the price. love the garage concept.
i use digi free stuff and massey. nothing else.

I also use his free stuff http://www.smassey.com/plugin.html
especially "listen", great idea.

cheers
