Hi everybody!

I bought an Akai mpc500, but i have this problem...

when i try to put the sound library card inside the akai crash and i can't do anything...i can only turn off it.

I do something wrong?

If you do not put the card in - does it boot up ok ?? If it boots up ok - can you sample in sounds - do they play properly ?

Sounds like you may have a problem with the card - try connecting it to an adapter so you can view it in your computer and clear the files on it and install them again.

Also - you may need to re-install the operating system.

Yes if the card is not in the akai it sounds normally..
i'll search an adapter..

Akai MPC500 OS 1.31 instructions and file

being as though it's the OS, Im going to refer you to their site and let you follow their instructions. I could post it here, but with something as important as the OS I think it would be wise on your part to read directly from the manufacturer on what to do.

Ok..
Here some news:

i put the sound library in the adapter and then i formatted that.
I insert the sound library again (now empty) but it crash like before.

Now i noticed that the version of my akai is 1.13...
Is this the problem?

the flash card works good...

I look at that link...but i didn't find anything about OS... :?:

I dont believe u can man, what happened with the factory flash that comes with it? or did you purchase this second hand?
