Mpc 5000 hooked to Imac g5 through motu828
Logic pro 9
Denon turntable into my mpc
Roland jp 8000 into motu 828
Switch between a rhode mic and a neuman tlm 103 mic either to mpc or motu828
Then i have an avalon 737sp pre-amp for some vocals i do.
I also use waves ssl 4000 for fine tuning alomg with the gold bundle. Waves is great! I really like the ssl bundle for my beat mixes but the gold bundle offers a lot for compression and renasaince and adding that booming bass sound with maxx bass.
I would like to get more knowledge on some of the gear i have...lost on my rolandjp but it pretty much works well overall for flow and ability.

can someone tell me what cords I need to run all this through my Yamaha MG124c mixer to my MPC?

I haven't had the right ones to hook it up yet and im not sure

i think i need to run it from my power amp because it says powered speakers but my speaks have no plugins

at the moment i got 1 audio cord

All that equipment but no clue how to connect it?

Dare to read my child, there is this wonderful place called the internet that can provide you with all the answers to your questions if you dare to search for it. I could easily answer it for ya but you wouldnt learn anything then imho.

the ones with the right connectors on!

damn, just look at each piece of equipment and see what it has, then get a cable that connects that to the mixer's inputs

then get a cable to go from the mixer's outputs to the mpc's inputs, again using whatever type of connectors are necessary.

it's not that hard to figure out. if the gear has RCA connectors, don't get 1/4 jacks, and vice versa.
if there are multiple choices (e.g. s/pdif digital vs 1/4 analog) just go with either - if you don't know how to wire it up you're not going to notice the difference!

I explained my entire setup I'm using....
I've been using 3 different speakers to work 2 sound modules and my MPC hooked up to my turntable

I saved up some more money and got a 12-channel mixer to get all this stuff to act as one

what's my setup? explained - how u make it work? explained, now I'm trying to get info towards moving on

I thought my question was legit... I asked if I just would run the power amp to the moniter jacks on the mixer?

and I just wanted to simply know with the equipment I have, what I might need, which Muppets helped with

my set up is a computer, mp 2500 and motu 828.. i sort samples out in the pc, chuck em to the mp for sequencing then track back into reaper (would use logic but PC logic 5.5 doesnt understand the motu) for mixing.

i want a mixing desk for the physical aspect and coz u cant really mix out of the mp with the FX goin out the analog outs, but then i wonder if theres really any need with the digital mixer off the moto

id also like a 950, but then i dont know how much harder it is to utilize it when i know the mp prety well now for my drums.. i think id like it for the 12 bittyness but i dont wanna have to learn it

id also like some hs80ms to go with my tapco s8s, but then i have been releasing stuff where a professional engineer mixes/masters the track for me so that kinda seems pointless

i want a mac coz theyre rock solid for the motu compared to my broke ass pc..

id like it if someone could tell me the s950 would improve my setup dramatically ( i do produce crusty atmospheric old school hip hop)

or anything else i can get more to help the creative flow without spending too much.. but also i love the setup of the motu and mpc, its everything i really need to write...

You have spent more time and resources here than you would of by picking up the manuals and actually reading them....or by using the search function.
No one will bother helping if you haven't even first bothered to help your self. Do you want some one to spoon feed you every 5 second's? Can't you think for your self?

Did you even read the original post...the dude DIDN'T want to hear about your every bit of gear, he just wanted to know key bits of your studio and how they work together/how you got them hooked up and get on with them....that means I might have 200 MPC's and 5500 rack pieces all hooked but but if my main pieces I always use are a mpc 3k, fantom and turntable I would elaborate on that bit and how I use them...

MPC2000 - Used as a sequencer, used to be my main sampler until I got the S950 not long ago.

S950 - Fell in love with this instantly; all the sampling and chopping is done on this. I do miss seeing waveforms though!

Technics SH-EX1200 DMC mixer - Run my samples through this before the S950.

Technics SL-1210 - Have two but got only space for one at the minute, bit of a blag haha. I use Shure M44-7 carts and needles also.

Mackie Onyx 1220 - My most recent purchase but it seems dope so far, I'm liking mixing down from the S950's outputs on this...

Shure SM58 Microphone - Used this for vocals a while back. Not picked up the mic in a good while though haha.

KRK RP5 G2 speakers - Got these at the start of the year with some freestands, I like the sound of 'em.

And lastly, I ain't got no audio interface as of yet! Still researching my choices! All in all, it's a pretty simple setup so I can move around and makes beats pretty easily.

Would like to have a good few classic drum machines at some point though. Got my heart set on one day owning an MPC60 mark 1 and 2, a 3000 and of course an SP1200. At this moment in time though, it's all good, just need an audio interface
