Audio Tracks

I'd like to record a drum beat onto an audio track in jjos 3.11, but when I switch to tracks 61-64 (audio) I get no sound out of any of the pads anymore. Are the audio tracks strictly for recording external audio into the mpc, or can you record sounds from programs already in the mpc?

Set the audio track Input to MAIN OUT, then the audio track will record whatever comes out of the main outs when you hit play+record on the audio track (i.e. the sound of the other tracks playing).

If you want to record your live playing then the only way I know of is to first go to a track with a program on that you want to use, then go to mode+pad5, set Input to MAIN OUT, hit record and start tapping pads... Note repeat doesn't work though
