I have started to use the new akai, it’s a great piece of equipment. The advice on this board is great. Its very much appreciated and hugely helpful. I would be lost and I do mean lost without it. My main aim with this machine is to sample music on the akai place a drumbeat and vocals over the sample and then move it to my computer .
Anyway my query. I have saved a few samples to my akai. I have created a sequence. I have a good drumbeat going and have my sample saved to a pad. I trigger my sample throughout the sequence. I have recorded my sequence with the sample. I then save the sequence on my memory card. When I play back the sequence I can hear the drumbeats and the sample. But when I shut down my mpc , then I start it up again, I play my saved sequence back, the drum pattern is recorded but there is no sample I thought I had saved. Is there something I’m doing wrong ? why is my sample not playing along to the drum pattern.
I hope this makes sense. Advice would be welcome. If I can just get this problem sorted it would be great. I have checked the manual, you tube tutorials, I just cannot get to the bottom of this. Akai can be like a matrix at times. Thanks for any advice.
