Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

hi i just got my scasi driver to my mpc 2000xl i know that i can save on the driver all my programs
but how do it load sampels to my mpc? in the "scasi id" i just need scasi cable with usb and that will work?

Negative. The USB to SCSI cable won't work with the MPC only on a computer.

your mpc uses scsi to connect to :

-scsi zip drive
-scsi hard drive
-scsi cd rom
-scsi compactflash reader
-scsi jaz drive

and maybe more...

scsi is not used to network 2 computers together.

ok thax i just order a zip drive hope it all gonna work.....sorry for bugging but, i load my samples from my pc with the zip drive and then i load them with the disk to the scasi drive right?

Yeah if you don't have a way to load files onto the scsi drive directly from your computer, a good workaround would be to load files onto a zip and then into the MPC where you can save to the scsi drive

another amazing trick is to use the sampler as a sampler. you go to the sample screen and push record. anything plugged into the record inputs on the back will be recorded.

FOR REALSIES? :shock:

Yeah I've done that plenty of times especially when my floppy was f'd up and I hadn't put a card reader in there yet but I find that sampling drums hits from my computer yields lower quality sound than loading them from the card. I only do drum sampling off of vinyl now and the rest of my drums load from the card.
