Screen tilt is sick. Really gives the 1K a whole different look, very retro.

i think its dope. paint job is holding it back a little but the concept of the tilt screen and the look of the jog wheel makes it very unique. thanks for following up on my request. maybe a tutorial on how to make the tilt screen???
or is that pushing it lol :D

ok - i'm just gonna throw this out there and see what people think and see if anyone has any knowledge on the issue.

wouldn't it be possible to make a cheap and easily removable tilt screen mod by using a prism?
i know they make prisms that will go as far as 90 degrees.

what i'm picturing is: you get a prism at a medium angle that you like, say 45 degrees or so. glue 2 small magnet strips on the bottom left and right side of the prism, and then glue another 2 magnet strips (or use double-sided tape) on either side of the mpc screen. then you can just stick the prism right over the screen and the magnets will hold it in place. when you want to transport the mpc or view it straight on you can just pop it off.

CONS: can't adjust the viewing angle (unless you get different angled prisms).

PROS:
cheap.
very easy to install.
removable and undoable if you want to sell the mpc or whatever.
don't have to worry about it getting damaged (if it gets bumped it will just pop off the magnets)
might look cool.

the trick is to find a source of prisms that are the right size and angle for the mpc screen. anyone have any ideas on this?
