is there a program like acid but more reliable.
in acid you do the beatmapping thing and set you measure exactly right, but it gets off a few measures later, even on the simplest of beats. it is just getting annoying. so i was just curious if there was something better out there.

I always forget you can actually loop and program and make beats in acid.

I use 3.0 to do all my multitracking, but i NEVER lace beats in acid.

all i do on it is maybe loop a bar or two and save it as a wav file then load it on the mpc. and add my own stuff to it there.

later i might put my beat back into acid and put an acapella over it.

acid is real cool for like layin vocals down with the beat mapping. U would be better off record just like 4 bar patterns in acid then beatmapping them then use it like song mode on the mpc and sequence or arrange the patterns with acid.

interesting...

Live 4 is pretty much where it's at - I have an MPC1000 (used to have a 2000xl) - I do use the 1000 for this and that but the real work is done in Live 4

Much better than Acid and the Midi is second to none - check out the demo
