1. How easy is the process of taking a stereo sample and turning it into mono? (this means I want to preview both first and then decide which one to go with.)

I haven't figured out a way to do it in Maschine yet, so I use a wave editor (Sound Forge) instead.

When using Maschine's pads, it goes from C-2 to G8. When using a MIDI keyboard, it depends on the range of your keyboard.

I'm almost 100% you can't, I was looking at various NI software and they ditched most PPC support on all their line.

Getting back to Maschine 1.5......

Went to GC yesterday, and got Maschine 1.5 (I am a PROUD user of an MPC (1000+JJOS1)+Logic 8 and Ableton Live).
Had been exploring the capabilities, and to be honest, has a great potential; coming for the MPC world it was quite easier for me to start making beats, sampling and cutting my own programs on my mid-level laptop with windows 7.
The swing is smooth as butter and cutting samples on the controller is fantastic (Wish the can have the same layout as JJ, not a big problem). I had been running the thing for hours, with no problem, ZERO LATENCY (I use a old USB Transit Interface).
Man, I have been reading some threads, and there's so much critics around this software, I am NOT a hatter, but as a Produce, I always want to be ahead of the game, using tools that can make me more productive. I am thinking about possibilities, using my existing MPC setup. Had anybody try this yet?

Emptysea, you have talked about Maschine at great lengths highlighting features that are right on the surface claiming that you don't have to go to another "MPC mode" to access them. But the truth is, there are many Maschine functions that you must go to another "Mode" or "Menu" to access them. In other word you have to press one button to access secondary functions and then press another button to access these functions. No different than hitting an MPCs Mode button plus a pad to access different "modes" or "menus."

No, we were only talking about being able to tweak the pitch without going to another mode/menu, specifically. For you to suggest that I was saying Maschine doesn't have other modes/menus to go to in general as you're attempting to do here is being disingenuous.

Not quite. You repeated numerous times how you can change the pitch of sounds in Maschine without going into "a different mode" like an MPC. You spoke as if this was a huge advantage of Maschine over an MPC. You just left out the part that there are numerous other functions that you do have to enter "a different mode" or "menu." This is "disingenuous." It's all good though. Its typical for people around here to defend their purchases. I don't feel the need to do that. I am not shy about telling anyone what I like or dislike about something I own. Stay tuned...I have plenty to of likes/dislikes about Maschine to write about.
