I have a chance to scoop one locally. It's been recently cleaned and tuned.

Pick it up! That's a great little synthesizer. The pricing is all over the place, but check here to get a good idea of range...

http://www.vintagesynth.com/moog/micromoog.php ...I think the are fetching more than $500. I just wouldn't pay a grand though. $700 would be my ceiling.

so $475 for a recently tuned and clean one is good?

I'm gonna scoop it tomorrow, I just sold my microkorg so I need a synth

At first I was like, man this thing is making nothing but squelch sounds, but after fooling around with it for a bit I got some amazing sounds out of it! Kind of pissed because now I'll have to tote this thing around for the rest of my life

it's amazing

I had to bump this thread. Recently I was short on some cash, so sold my Micromoog for $800 on Craigslist here locally. Right after I sold it, I knew I shouldn't have. Then a few weeks later I see it up for sale again, so I know it's the same dude. I gave him a week or so of re-listing it everyday before I shot him an email telling him I'd buy it for a "rental fee". He emails me back saying, okay how about $100 less. I told him I could only do it for $200 less (or $600) since I'm still short on cash (true story). He agreed. I picked it up this morning. My baby is back, in the same condition as it left, and I made $200. Total cost to me is now $275=fiyuckyeah
