recomend a 2nd hand price for DIGI002 & ALESIS M1 MONITORS?

Almost 100% they won't but it's always nice to have another set of monitors about. One thing about the Mk1 is they are MASSIVE the cabinet is a huge square box..really big, make sure you got the space if you get them.

Not really true.
Different monitors are good when they are monitors purchased for specific characteristics and a purpose that goes along with that.
Just the idea of having another pair of monitors is of little or no true value.
One pair of good or even decent monitors that you have learned the sound of is much better than 3 pairs of typical monitors.

Save the $200 to use for something of value;

PT plug Ins
8 channel A/D converter for the 002
PT LE 8
Toward a decent mic pre for the 002
BLA mod
Quality FW drive for PT
............

The list goes on and all would be better than the Alesis monitors.

well.. i bought the 002 & speakers for 900.. and i'm happy..

basically i just wanted the speakers for my v-drums, not for mixing.

time to plug n play..

turns out they're the mk2 model.... i asked dude he and he said it was mk1, probably thinkin of M1... word! they're not that big either, i'll have to do some shuffling in my lab now, but i got the room so i'm good.

got my little 002 console for like 3 hundred a while back. Dude thought the firewire ports was broken but they really were not. I think the average 2nd hand price is between 5-8 hun. Koncept and I did see another one for like 350 the other day but when we went back to search for it.. poof.

The 002 family has intermittent FW connectivity problems related to the power harness and power supply.
The units have no consistent manner for showing it.
They can go months or years between incidents or get into a mode of not clearing.
Digi came up with a retrofit but it too gives inconsistent results.
If your unit ever shows problems initializing or being found by the computer just pop it open and reseat the power harness after cleaning the pins.

The best thing about the 002 console is the standalone mode lets you have a mixer and effects without using your computer.

I have had multiple 002r and console units.
Digi says that the units after a certain serial number has no problem.
The last 002 Console I got is a "G" and has yet to show any problems, so maybe there's some truth to the serial numbers?

$700 is a steal IMO. I sold a 002 Rack for $700 on ebay. And you got the mixer version for that price. Not bad at all!
