that's my best guess based on the fact all the specs match what is required - why do you need other people to confirm that 256MB=256MB, and PC133=PC133, and 144pin=144pin?

Well, that one had a different Part No (KTC-N600/256) than the other Kingston models that was posted here (KVR133X64SC3/256)

But i guess that doesn't matter then?

or is the exm128 the one with the mem on one side? so the mpc 1000 is able to read the whole 128 mb? really confused right now ...

i would really appreciate a recommendation from someone who dealt with this before

Yep if it's the EXM128 it'll load as 128MB(1 sided) because it's the official RAM from Akai. Shit's crazy how it goes for $140 but you can find the exact same one for $10 on Ebay, wtf!! still waiting on mine

If you're installing unofficial RAM, then yeah you'll have to get double the amount i.e.

256MB will be read as 128MB
128MB as 64MB(not sure on this one but you get what I mean)

i just bought the 256mb pc-133 memory car 144 pin installed it but when i turn the mpc on the screen just stays blank i dont know what to do...

Is this ram will be read as 128 or 64 Mb ?? It is supposed t be the exact RAM as the EXM.. but check the price
