It isn't here yet but I'm pumped. A bunch of people on these forums dislike Maschine, and here is what I think:

I don't really think it matters what you make music with, as long as you make music. Maschine didn't necessarily impressive me as much as it made me realize how well it would work with my setup.

I don't think people like being told its an MPC-killer, since most users on here are long time MPC'ers and invested a lot of time/money into them.

I had an MPC1000 for a month before realizing that I'm not in love with the MPC, but neither am I in love with pure software, so Maschine was really practical.

I played around with it for two hours at GC and in those two hours literally learned stuff that took me weeks on the MPC.

For me, Maschine just fit in.

Not gonna lie.. my work flow is shit load faster with daws.. just took me a while to get out of the closet to confess that..

some people need that whole visual aspect of composing on a computer monitor more than others... i started out that way using strictly software about 13 years ago [mainly due to the fact that i could download software for free, although slow as hell on dial-up, and didn't have any money of my own]. i realize that's a very similar situation to a lot of the kids here... so i can understand where they're coming from. it's hard to explain, but working with strictly software and midi controllers eventually bored the hell out of me and made all my tracks have a "predictable" sound to them... i can't really word it right, but hardware does force you to get more creative with less... and in my case, it brings out a better sound. do what works best for you, but if you guys are getting rid of your MPCs and switching to some completely different piece of gear, you can't expect the MPC FORUM to be all supportive of that concept. please don't try and convert us... because i will slam that door in your faces just like i do to those jehova's witnesses. that is all i have to say.

The speakers don't lie. Let your music do the talking.
I don't get caught up in what's better, or what's more powerful (like a drum machine needs super power to sequence sounds). The only thing that will impress me is the music, and I haven't heard anything made on any software that couldn't be done on modern drum machine.
Maschine does look impressive, but MPC's and Technics 1200's are classic for a reason.
