MPC + Ableton Live 8= All u need

Recently hooked up my MPC 500 to Ableton.....smh at what ive don in a week. For those who dont know, check out ableton live 8 on you tube.

and how do u set it up

mpc as a midi controller


each drum sound or sample "tracked out" as you go along yet fold it up on a stereo bus too then record your artist's vocals in the same live set/ session

Well, Im using a midi to usb cable

The midi mapping is simple to set up and like BG said, there is a mpc like drum machine which you can control from your MPC. And sampling couldnt be simpler.
When you get a chance, youtube some vids. type in Ableton live 8 MPC. That should show you why I made the move to Ableton.

here dude, you can try it free for 30 days..... unlimited use just like you bought it already but for 1 month then decide if you actually want to buy.

the version i got in 05 or 06 (version 5) was 500 bucks but is less now

You can email Ableton and they'll provide the registration information back to you. Better, you can just log into their website, they've already got all of your serial numbers on file (assuming you registered).

Otherwise if you're pirating the software then shame on you.
