I used to have an MPC1000. No longer own it, but have a lot of material which is no inaccessible. Is there a software solution that will enable to me open the tracks, and then convert to individual WAVs or at least a stereo mix WAV or MP3?

Thanks

To start... the MPC 1000? :) but I suppose that's not so helpful since you don't have it. The 2.5k/5k/.5k can too, but I'm guessing you don't want those.

I think there's a program called chickensys or something like that, which can convert quite a few different program formats. Probably look into that, but you'll still need hardware/software to go to. So it might help to know what your target is.

As far as sequence files... JJ had been working on his JJSeq, but I have no idea what state that software is in (if he's even still working it). Other than that no idea. You probably wanted to export your tracks as midi on the MPC 1k before you got rid of it. Maybe you can borrow one or use one at a local guitar center or something for this?

Good luck!

Thanks for the recommendation, NearTao. My target formats would either be for playback in Sonar or Logic. I also have my old trusty Triton Pro Classic although I suspect it's less likely a conversion into Triton formatting would be available. I guess I was hoping there was an MPC1000 sequencer simulator that could play the tracks back on the computer for further manipulation. I'll keep searching...
