honestly, i don't like this site much because there is so many know nothing pricks asking the same questions over and over. This forum is for sharing tips/knoweledge with cats that are like minded and dedicated to the craft. NOT for little dudes to get their hand held... either put in the work and time like everyone else or FALL THE FUSK BACK. if u can't figure out how to update the software of your $1000+ peice of equipment or loop a drum break, this **** probably isn't for you.

let me be clear, this ain't even aimed at the original poster, i can understand the question, "what is up with this JJ ish?". I can understand someone new to this site not even knowing what the hell JJOS even means. its more the dudes who are all, "how do i get jjos on my mpc" or "what features are different". that shiit can be answered with a few minutes of reseach. imagine if everyone on here just asked any question that posted into their head.

also, dudes tripping out about it and calling people MORONS is just as dumb, imo.

when i first bought my mpc i didn't even join this forum, all my original questions were answered on the site and i only joined once more advanced things started to pop up, like installing certain cd drives and stuff, involving taking the mpc apart and warranty voiding, etc.

how dumb do you have to be to ask about installing jjos? i'm not tripping out it's a really simple piece of information that can be found in a matter of minutes, and with these noob topic spammers posting all the time it dilutes the density of useful information on the site. let them know they're idiots, they may learn to look at STICKY TOPICS that are clearly labelled, and rich in useful information from page 1.

if there weren't so many lazy-ass fuctards who would rather type out dumb questions than spend a minute reading and thinking for themselves, noone would need to sit in front of a forum day and night. they'd be done in 5 minutes. it would be a lot easier to find the useful info without the same old questions being asked over and over. this isn't about looking big or making other people look small

you missed the point - it wouldn't take so long to read if there were fewer of the same questions over and over.

the second forum in the list has the description "Before you post, go here to check out the questions we get asked all the time..." and the USERS GUIDE thread says "Before posting a question, please use the search function on these forums - you'll find that many of your questions have already been answered - and regulars start getting grumpy if you ask them again..." -- my point being that I don't think the site's founder says anywhere "use wikipedia for research, ask any old question on the forum"

on the other hand, the "all members please read" thread says "A technical forum thrives on helpful, thoughtful and intelligent discussion. If someone asks a question, please only respond if you have something positive to contribute to the thread." and the regulars don't always follow that request!

All I can say is.... wow. Now I see why I haven't posted on this site in ages. phx is right that many of these forums have become social networks with people sitting and reading posts in wait to pounce on someone who they think has asked a dumb question or made an incorrect statement. I've gotten a lot more into mixing this days and use gearslutz. What a relief. Lots of great discussion, very little disrespect and immaturity. On gearslutz, if you make a statement that might not be correct, the response is usually corrective but with full mature respect. I hope people learn to grow up and be more respectful of people. If a person asks a question and its not of interest to you then just don't answer. Let someone who wishes to help show them the way. You don't have to be disrespectful and try to belittle them. Just not cool.

look, its not to hyurt anyones feelings, but thgis site has over 1 million posts and close to 100,000 members. If you join a discussion forum about a certain piece of gear, and A0 didn't read the manual or B0 ask a question to which the answer can be found on the Title Page(i.e. MPC 1000/2500 JJOS) the you deserve to be clowned on. When I joined up, I asked some pretty stupid questions, and I got clowned on, but I never got told to search or RTFM, because I searched AND read my manual.
So to you prissy nancy's catchin feelings over the net, fux off, this place is better without you.
