record Axiom 25/Reason 4 into MPC 1000 ??

I have an Axiom 25, Reason 4, and an MPC 1000... i want to record into my MPC 1000 from my Axiom 25 (using reason sounds)... i have a midi out cable going from my axiom 25 into my MPC 1000's midi in. i can trigger the sounds from reason on my axiom 25, but i cant figure out how to then record into my MPC. when i make a new track on my mpc i set the type: to MIDI and set the Midi: to 1A. is there a setting under midi/sync that i have to set or something ? i havent been able to figure it out. i searched the forum and it seems like theres always some slight detail left out, help will be appreciated.

Go to Advance Midi Device on Reason and click it on. The button should be on top of the interface.

You will see all the midi channels 1-16. You need to assign each channel to the module rack you are working with. (e.g.) Channel 1 - subtractor, Channel 2 - Malstrom synth.....etc you get the picture.
