I'd also take roland's mv8800 into consideration considering the price just dropped 1K.

that s right, i was thinking about, but i was hearing that the seq ofthe mv is not so tight??

i like the mpc concept i ve to test the 5000....

sequencer on the mv is good, however there is issue with long audio phrases drifting outta sync.

yeah and it's easy to fix that issue.

the quantize issues are a rumour created by people who didn't know/understand how to change it.

This is no rumor but a confirmed fact. It deals with audio tracks. For some reason, long audio tracks "loose sync" or "drift." The work around is to slice the long audio tracks into several shorter regions. This work around does the trick, but it also provides fodder for forum members that disliked the MV for various reasons.

Regardless, it is still an "issue" that Roland will most likely never address.

Im in love<3

That video is already somewhat outdated. Things are even better now with the 1.5 update, feature and workflow-wise.

Sir, you have a captured audience. Please go into detail about what's "even better now."

Thanks,

Respectfully

I love this thread, seriously.

I have no interest in the Maschine or how great it is, and the same goes for MPCs. I already have an MPC, I make music with it. This is what works for me, and I'm fine with it.

But this ongoing war will continue to entertain me.

Thanks everyone who contributed to the nonsense of this thread, you all work hard and I applaud you.

I'm not even kidding, there's no sarcasm here. I really need to stress that because I can see how this could be taken for sarcasm.

But I'm dead serious.

I recently learned that you could export audio sequences from maschine into Ableton clips. If this is indeed the case then using maschine and ableton in conjunction would be a deadly combination. I'd like to have a maschine for sampling and an apc40 and ableton for sequencing my loops.

mpc will always have a loyal following due to its history and the fact that its solid and dope at what it does.

but it will continue to loose market share if nu-akai dont start listening to users and giving them the products/feature-sets they want.

i'll re-iterate who would be using the 2500 or 1k if there was no jjos?

the speed and integration offered by maschine is the future for beat heads that take full advantage of the power of software.

Yup. Audio drag and drop to host has been there since 1.1. They added MIDI drag and drop as well with 1.5.
