Will MpcPgm Maker turn my mp3 file in wav?

i need an mp3 file (it's actually in pro tools) on my computer to somehow get into my mpc 2000xl.
i'm thinking i need to convert it in the mpc pgm maker but i aint to sure. what the flowers do i do?

I'm sure you can convert it with ProTools. If you have it with a waveform displayed it must be converted out of mp3 to some other format already. Otherwise download a simple waveform editor like Amadeus.....

i've never touched protools but i'd be surprised if it couldnt convert to wav. soundforge converts to wav. before i made beats i used winamp to convert to wav. i dont know if the new version of winamp will do that though. there has to be a reason im still rocking version 2.91 & i think extracting wav was it

With a Mac, you can do that in iTunes.
Maybe you can do it with a PC as well.
In the meantime, check at www.versiontracker.com.
Do a search for MP3.
I'm sure there is a open source program that will do it.

Oh yes....I forgot about iTunes for that! However, I always try & keep samples out of iTunes as I like to play random selections & it is really annoying when the flow of songs get interupted by single drum hits.

Pipecock....look on VersionTracker for Xtract2Wave44 . It does exactly what you want....converts mp3 to wav with a simple drag & drop, & it is free. Again, I should have remembered that when I first read your question.

mp3s are shit, no body. a bit like my hair. u need to shampoo and condition them again.

It needs to be in a .wav format. Can't convert from an mp3 file homie!
