Can I get it???

My CF reader is broken on my 1000 (bought it that way) I was wondering if I used the Solid State HDD mod could I load the the JJ OS 3.09 on my MPC. I know in the faq about jj os that your CF reader needs to be working but I was just wondering if there was a work around that may have not been updated in the FAQ.

I don't see any problems with that. I load new OS's off my HD all the time... Can't hurt to try

I think the free JJOS can only be installed from the CF card, not HDD. and you can't install the paid-for JJOS without installing the free one

So do you think I will brick my 1000 if it doesn't work?
