Syncing MPD with MPC

How can I Sync MPD24 with MPC1000(blue) to use the pads from mpd24?
My mpc pads are broken.
Is that possible with free jj os which i am using?

it will work, but there's nothing to "sync"... you just run a midi cable between the 2 pieces of gear.

yup

if i remember correctly the mpd should be powered by a dc adapter in order to be able to send midi via midi out, doesn't work when you power it through usb. kind of retarded but i think that's the problem.

ok its work, but you don't need dc adapter.
have two ways:
turn off computer with usb cable connected
or
get the USB AC Power Adapter
