Outputs Doubt

Having the 2000xl a Stereo Output and 8 mono outputs (extra board) is it possible to track out a beat like this:

8 mono tracks tru the 8 mono outputs and 1 stereo track tru the master stereo output?

And if not at the same time, first track out the 8 mono and after the stereo sample on the master one.

no, everything comes out the stereo jacks, just like the headphone jack.

why 8 mono? it could be 4 stereo. depends on the sounds your sending through it.

I'm new with the mpc, been dealing with her for about 2 weeks maybe, but i think i saw that its possible to assign stereo or mono.

My drums are mono. Kick, snare, hihat, etc, mono. Then maybe the sample in stereo if needed. Bass track is mono too.

I'm just waondering if its possible to track out the tracks by the 8 outs tru the "8 outputs board" and then another single stereo track tru the stereo master.

Like making 10 tracks.

like jonestown said your going to hear everything combined through the stereo out just like the headphones, assigning a sound to a channel on the 8 outs wont turn the same sound off on the main stereo out as far as i know

You need to turn down the sound in the main mix, that way it wont sound on the main outputs

A stereo track is just 2 mono tracks panned left/right. Youre comment is redundant, sorry man.

they usually call it the 8 output board

mono=1

8 Output=8x1 Outputs

Therefore, 8 Mono Outputs.

And, it is ACTUALLY called the IB-M208P....

im used to seeing 1/2 3/4 5/6 etc when i select the output on my "IB-M208P" so that mono threw me off.
if i had a stereo sound and had to pick out1 pan it left, copy the sample again pan it to the otherside then select out 2 like your saying i would get annoyed quick.the board dosent turn stereo samples mono is all i was getting at.

Wont that also lower the volume on the same sound that goes out the optional outs? Or does the board have its own mixer?
