Automation with slider..

Wazzup peepz..??

I'm on JJ-OS XL MPC2500 and I am trieng to record some kind of automation with the Q-link 1..

the sample is a verry long string lets say 4 bars..

And I want to record the volume of this string while sliding it up and down using the slider..

well the problem is that I can't get it done cause I feel like I'm missing something..

Maybe its good to know that I've set the Q-link to control velocity and that the sample (string) in my progame is set to NOTE ON..

When I press overdub+play and move the slider around nothing seems to be happening until the sample is looping..
What the I want is the volume to follow the slider in realtime..

All of this is done on the mainscreen.

I'm sure that there is a simple solution to my prob but I just missing it..

Help is much appriciated..

isnt velocity only applied once to a note?
maybe you should use the slider to control the volume of the sample, not its velocity? but i have no idea
