how to make samples to play simultaneously ?

Please have marcy and tell me how to make the samples play simultaneously just like on 1k or 2k I was choosing Voice overlap from MONO to POLY. When I am switching in 4k note on to note of or toggle it is not the same.
I can not get the effect of one sample beeing played twice at the same time
Of Course I am newbie I just got mine 4k 2 days ago .
So Please help me

The same setting is on the 4000 too, you just need to find it.

Load a sample and play with all the settings that control POLYPHONY.

but I can not find the way to do it.
I have got manual as PDF and I was looking for this but unfortunately I can not find this.

I do have os 1.7.1.

I have read the manual pages You pointed to me and I have tried many possibilities but still the same when I hit the pad for the second time it shuts off the first one.

I had to switch in the play mode from as sample to one shot
