hi all,

are there any software samplers out there that will allow me to map out a sample across a keyboard whilst changing pitch and keeping the original tempo of the sample, which i can use as a AU in logic?

the esx24 in logic allows me to map across the keyrange and pitch shift, but the tempo of the sample alters aswell i.e. higher pitch = speed up sample, lower pitch = slowed down sample. i need the tempo of the sample to stay constant.

ive tried googling but my searching skills are pretty whack cus im crap at describing what i want concisely lol, but i did find out that the esx24 cannot do what im trying to do. i thought id post here to see if anyone can point me in the right direction. thank you in advance.

Have you tried Propellerhead Recycle?

It isn't a sampler per se, but it does have a few tricks you may find useful.

cheers for the reply clint.

i do have recycle, i just tried pitching a single sample up / down a few times in recycle, and then laying the samples across the keyboard in esx24, works well but is very time consuming. i may have to use this method but im sure thers got to be an easier way.

anybody got any other ideas?

Take a look at Kontakt by Native Instruments. Tone Machine (realtime pitchshifting) might be what you're looking for.
