Getting programs to remember panning info

Hey all. I took a look thru the manual and thru the forum and couldn't find the info on this.

Say I have a drum program, and I want my (mono) hats to always be panned slightly left and my ride cymbal to be always panned to the right.

Is there a way to set up this panning permanently, or do I have to adjust the panning for these samples in "mixer" each time?

I'm using JJOS 4.99 if that makes a dif.

Any help would be appreciated. It was be wicked to not have to re-set this up each time....

In my opinion the solution could consist in creating a blank program with your pan settings and using it each time you make a new beat.

Wait - how would a blank program retain panning settings if a program with samples does not?

you set the pan in the PROGRAM screen ( mode + pad 7 ), not the MIXER screen.
the programs remember everything you save in that screen, including the pan settings.

Seriously? Man, I guess I'm more of a noob than I thought. I don't see any panning info in that screen....and I think I've hit "window" for every parameter.
