I might sample stuff through a DBX118, DBX119, pcm70, FZ-1, jbl7110's, dbx120a, sh09 ext in, ms20 ext in, A&H mixing desk, dbx 386, gate unit, spring reverb, delay pedal, flanger pedal, etc, etc..... whatever I feel like at the time and depending on what the sample sounds like and what I want to do to it.

Make your own decisions on what you want to put your samples through based on what you want to do to the samples and what you want your sound to be like. The dbx118 and dbx119 are great for crunchy dirty fatness... and cheapish last time i looked. They aren't clean though.
Get some cheap old guitar pedals or something.. the more vintage and bizarre the better :P (unless you want a pristine clean sound).

i give the record a wipe and blow any fluff off the stylus. then run it through a JLM audio baby animal pre amp. any effects and eqs are added later by resampling.

I run my samples through an sp303. I usually just eq and maybe add a little compression. Sometimes I use other effects, but usually just eq and some light compression.
