Cheers, that is a 32.8 It belongs Mark Andrews who occasionally posts on this forum. He sold the Mackie and is now mainly working with Logic but at the same time trying to get a SP-1200

I have a Sp1200 just hand over that API 2500 and we got a deal.

No offense dude, but all that gear and the beat you had playing in the background was trash. I'm sure you couldve picked a better beat.

ouch. But since when did having a lot of gear mean that your music should be good?

Im not saying it shouldve been good, just better. Seems like a waste of money if thats the best he has. Again, Im not trying to be offensive, but that beat was garbage.

Okay, Lu Scola states in the video info, he made that track in 3 mins just to have some music in the background. So I think he has probably something waaaayyy better. Let's hear some Lu!

But I agree, loads of gear doesn't make your music good and loads of gear isn't necessarily better than just havin "an iMac and a Mbox"! That's what I had to learn, too. End of the story: I'm currently massively downsizing my own studio: sell the mixer, MPC, S 5000, Electribes, Drumstation and so on...like 12 pieces of gear. And what do I do? Get back to where I came from: Gonna cop Reason and Record and a USB interface for my MacBook. Add a MPK 61. Keeping my Roland analog beauty adn a 80's Casio and I'm ready to go!

I thought with all my niece hardware I would make music like hell. But what happened: 2 years gone and I made only 5 tracks! I made more and way better music back in the days when I was only using Reason 3.0 and keyboard!

Sometimes you have to make 2 steps forward and one step back to make a progression! Just my 2 cents!

Lu,

I remember when I was single and had money to burn on that stuff :P

Lately I just sell off a piece here or there so I can afford to send my daughter to daycare for another month or whatever lol.

Enjoy that stuff... hopefully it gets much use!

First impressions are so much when it comes to producers in the industry these days, especially when trying to land cuts. I reckon if Lu had a ridiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiculously dope beat but a third of that equipment, he would have earnt a lot more positivity here.

Edit: oh my gosh I watched the entire thing... some very delicious equipment... and some - quite bizarre equipment choices there ???

That was the weakest shtt vie seen. "I wear my sunglasses at night....". Is dude sponsored by blue audio? It cracked me how he labeled his Mac pros so we could readily identify them. More power to him though.
