Where is it?? Mixer Automation?? [Solved 4 now!!]

I'm on 2500 JJ-XL

After days of trieng to figure out how to set automation on the volume of my strings I finaly grabed the (official)manual..
So I started to search and finaly reached page 92 finding mixer automation..

I was like yes of coarse thats where it was on AKAI OS..

So quickly I tapped mode+pad8 to check it up..

All the function keys are there from L/Pan till GO2FX.. but wait.. something is missing.. where is F4??

thats where the mixer automation is supposed to be..

Where the @%^^ is it??

Did JJ forget about it?? or left it out on with a meaning?? or is it placed in a other section??

PAN/LEVEL problem.
If the bug in which mixer automation does not operate is corrected,
operation of Q-LINK will become strenge.
It became clear that mixer automation and Q-LINK were incompatible as a result of investigation.
Therefore, The bug of mixer automation does not correct.

makes me really think if I should go for XL or the standard OS2...

yes this is the only drawback for me after 2 week usage..

I really need it.. Hope hes still searching for a way to put it back in..

I wonder if its possible to install JJ OS1 and OS2 after purchasing 2XL??

Thanks... just tried OS2 and found out that the automation sucks big time... switching back to XL!!

The first automation on the string was good but the second was messed up!!

Is there anyway to contact JJ about this feature.. also I wonder if the MPC 5000 is also having automation Issues..

maybe its time for an upgrade..

Cause this messes up the workflow..

I made 4 bars. and I have 2 strings..

at bar 1 and 2 I want the volume of the first string to go up from the begining till the and (1-->2)
at bar 3 and 4 I want the volume of the second string to go down from the begining till the end (3-->4)

bar 1 and 2 went good but bar 3 and 4 is having problems..

the volume stays up for a few seconds and suddenly goes down... thats not how I wanted it to be.

I should go down smoothly without going down first...

any ideas??

Edit: I think I got it...

you need to bring the volume back to the normal level before the sample hits again, If you dont do this the MPC wont have enough time to recover to your prefered level.

I'm going to stick to OS2 for a while maybe even until JJ brings back automation to XL..
