& yes I used reason 3 2005 to 2009 & ableton 4, 5 , then upgrade to version 8 & it killed reason


shit also killed pro tools

was RECORD beta tester it looks neat with the cartoon ssl though it was buggy then maybe is better now

I might just be tempted to upgrade to V5. I love using my V4 rewired into Cubase ... a really powerful and flexible combination.

It is still just day 1 of 5 for feature reveals...........

Yes, V4 is such a compiete midid suite that it V5 will have to have some seriously killer 'must have' features to make the upgrade fully justafiable ? I was an early Cubase user, and it took Reason to get upto V3 before I thought it was worth a tinkle with. Now, having used V4 for a good while now, once it was coupled with Cubase, I feel that there is very little that can't be done with the combination. I may get around to trying 'Record', as it does have some very good features for an audio only suite.

I would also love to see Apple drop their crap and finally bring back Logic to the PC. Logic is an absolutely cracking all-in-one solution that is well thought out, and with some really tasty virtuals and plugs ! Many of my Mac friends are really turfing out some nice sounding material using Logic ... Still, I don't see this happening anytime soon, sadly.

neptune is corny we trying to get rid of the auto tune era.I use reason but,no vst support makes it uncompetitive with all the apps that support vst.

exactly, and even though they have rewire.... VST support would be the thing that made me use my reason 4 more often. That 1 little detail makes reason that thing I use once in a while to make wav samples when I am bored and then those wav samples get imported in my projects in other DAWs... if for nothing else to at least use waves pluggins etc on them.

props won't have vst support anytime soon.........read their interviews, watch the vids etc. They prefer the stability of their software that we all enjoy now. Introducing VST support would change things dramatically, and be yet another drain on your processor..........

not true,how come all other DAW's are stable with vst's? since they have record it would be nice to open waves or other processor's in it. image if you could use a moog or a spectrasonic synth in reason or battery,kontakt along side what they have? but side by side reason sounds are thin compared too vst instruments.the new sampling feature is dope,I will use that.
