another Variation Slider question...

I thought my Note Variation Slider was broke... so I didn't bother with it before (I got it working again). But anyway, I noticed you can assign a Control Change number to the slider, but when I do it ... IT DON'T CONTROL SHIT.

I've seen posts on this topic before. Has anyone figure this out? Did they just put that there for decoration?

if set, it should send the CC value out via midi, and if connected to a module that supports that particular CC function, should work. it should have no affect on the internal sampler.

I tried settin it up as CC#16 (g.p.) to control parameters on a JV 1080. I can send these messages from my keyboard, but the MP isn't even sending a midi signal. No data registers in step mode and the led that verifies a signal being recieved stays unlit.

Has it worked for you?

i'll try it later, i have never used it but that is what it is 'supposed' to do. i'll try it out with midi remote mapping in reason, that is really easy to get any value being sent set to control any parameter.

check your midi filter in the mpc and the jv.
