Tempo change MPC1000( master)-Logic (slave)

Hi all
i understand the settings needed to make MPC and Logic work together ,but how do you make logic react to at tempo change coming from the MPC?

Do you have Logic set to use an external tempo sync?

You can't unless you use Logic 7 and below.
Only MIDI CLOCK sync allows tempo changes and this was taken out in Logic 8. Same happened with Cubase a few years ago. It's a PITA.
