Saving options

Hi Everyone,
I'm just started to using mpc. I use it for drums (samples) and for sequencing synths.
I didn't do own samples yet, but I will.
My question is, that there are so many options for savings and I really want to know what is the best (logical) way to save ideas? I know it's seem stupid question, but I think old users can advice the best ways how to save things.
Unfortunatelly I don't have manuals, i'm trying to figure it out everythings, so now i'm pushing basically everything, like save a sequence, save a program, samples every time when I close the mpc 1000, but maybe not nesessary, I'm not sure when I do that every time, it's start to duplicate those drumsamples from the card, end every time when I load, I load the sequences and programs, each by each...maybe there is a better way.
I hope I wasn't to complicated and understand me. :S

if you save the same samples in the same folder it won't keep filling the card up. if you save the same samples somewhere else it will duplicate them.

there are other options apart from loading everything individually, you can save everything in memory to a single file and then load it all up at once.

I mean the menu is logical, when it says "save a sample" that means I will save the samples, when it says "save a sequence", it will save the sequences and so on....
But for example:
In the memory card there are samples with category (bass drums, snarez, hi hats, etc...and 150 sample each category) those samples in a folder (that's how I bought it).
So what I did is listen all of it and choose a couple of each samples and load it, put it on a program, open different track for MIDI (1 for the MS2000, other for basstation, etc..) and start creating sequences with tracks and play drums in 2-3 tracks, and than open another sequence and do another. So when I finishing should I save "all the sequence" and save "all programs" in a new "ideas" folder for example? If I do that obviusly the samples had been duplicated in that folder, but I dont want to save all those into the drum samples folder.
(sorry that I'm writing all my concepts down, but I hope that it makes it easier to understand)

yes, it does make it easier to understand

What I do, and I think what most people recommend on this site, is create a new folder for each project and save everything (sequences, programs, samples) in that folder. That means some duplication of the samples, but it keeps everything simple and grouped together.

If you do run out of space, you can backup a whole folder at once to your computer (or another CF card, or whatever) then delete the whole folder, and not have to work out which samples are used by which programs.

All right! That makes sence! That's what I'll do!!!

Another thing what I "discovered" :

Onve I stop recording or playing the sequence, the MIDI clock doesn't work.
In other way, when it's running all the synths follow the mpc MIDI clock (like delay, arpeggiator, etc..), but when I hit stop all the clock on the synths goes back to their own internal clock.
Why?
