I plugged my 1000 into my mac mini running OSX 10.4.11 with a 1.83 duocore processor. The 1000 status shows up as connected but there is no sign of it on my mac. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem and if so how do I get around it? My CF reader has a broken pin but my 1000 has the SS CF HD Mod.

On Windows 7, after I upgraded all the pcs, I had to go on each and use the disc partition manager to assign the MPC a drive letter. Now, I'm utterly Mac ignorant, but does the Mac have such a tool? I would guess it does as I know in many ways Macs are superior. Anyway, this tool on W7 tells you a number of things about each drive, perhaps you could see what's going on with it. Does the HDD spin up? Mine is ancient, but I can feel a little vibration.

I don't have a HDD I have the CF mod acting as a hard drive. On Macs you don't have assigned letters for drives they just show up as an icon on the desktop. Directories are much different between macs and pc's.
