Novice MPC User

In the market for the purchase of an MPC 1000. Initially, I just plan to use it to lay down drum beats.
I'm wondering if the 1000 comes with sufficient drum kits? -OR- Can I just move one or more drum kits from my motif to the 1000? I pretty much need to make sure I have sufficient drum kits on the mpc to lay down these beats.

if you have a motif with kits, why not lay them down on that workstation...?

If your looking to finger drum them out, just get a drum pad controller and MIDI that **** to the motif, you'll save yourself couple hundy......

The motif stays in the studio. The MPC is for mobile/gig use. But you raise an excellent point. Thanks

build ur own drumkits... mpc is a drum-sampler.

I don't think the 1000 comes with alot of sounds. So are you suggesting that i get the drum sounds from external sources and 'build' kits to my liking?

yes, and sampling is a creative option too... so ure not bound to

specialised soundkits, at least the net is full of sounds for free...
