scratch samples for serato....

it was an early christmas for me yesterday as i finally got serato sl3!!!!!


been saving for about a year for serato and something always came up so i could never get it...

coinsidently i had a gig lastnight and used it live with my mbp, but unfortunately the dj setup was numarks and a xone02 which the fader is a peice of shit(decent layout though, but compared to my rane56s fader it was doo doo.. and i couldnt use my m447 carts with the straight arms, and the needles where a bit jumpy which sucked!

they say a good tradesman never blames his tools but any good turntablist knows the tools are what it's all about! you can't polish a turd..

anyways, i spent a couple hours sampling a bunch of my battle records in a rush to get something for the set(djing/scratching for emcees and my beats)


but i was wondering if anybody had any dj scratch tracks ready to go for gigs?

i just mean like digital battle sequences that they have made to use as battle tools with serato/traktor whatever..

i'll up my one i made yesterday when i get home.

That reminds me... I had digitized all my DJ Rectangle, Q-Bert and other vinyl battle records a couple of years ago. I'll check when I get home to see if I still got them on my HD. I had a HD die a mont ago so hopefully they weren't on that one.

i'm uploading my battle sequence that i made using my 2500, just sampling a bunch of battle records i got & a couple parts from tracks, plus my signiture outro i use for gigs!

but yeh... i was touching on more;

has anyone one done this, made they're own digital battle records for gigs?

now i finally got sl3, the possibilities are coming to me...

on a side note:
i been holding off on my album because i know that i want to beat juggle some of my tracks/cut my emcees vox up and take it to the next level, if i'm ever gonna get noticed -i goto do something that blows the rest out the water... nah mean!

Yeah its been done before, digitally I don't know, but Jam Master Jay was the first to press RUN DMC tracks on vinyl and then tossed it up for the final master. I think he did it with 3 or 4 turntables juggling acapellas and beats from Sucker MCs to Raising Hell. DJ SWAMP also does this.

Like I said, digitally, I can't say whom, but DJs has always been pressing their own battle sounds on vinyl since the birth of Hip Hop. Good luck on your expedition in the new world

When I used traktor it had programmed scratch sounds.
