Akai Pro Synth (Ipad)

Not sure if this has been posted before. Looks like this software developers have an eye on the ipad.

Yea, I thought so too, but with 89 views and no responses, I figured I was all alone with my initial excitement! haha!

If I ever make my own drum machine, I'm gonna straight jack their UI.

Looks very nice.

I dunno..we all have to accept change. I kinda like the idea. If they can add sampling to it I would buy it. The touch screen makes making beats a lot more interactive. Imagine rockin' a show with an ipad!
I've never understood the excitement over the ipad, but with the new music software being developed for it, I think it will be a wise investment.
We've all wondered why akai hasn't made a software MPC and on the news they just announced that Apple stock was now ahead of Microsoft. I think Akai was smart to NOT create a hardware/software hybrid like the maschine and instead develop ipad applications. If they can make the touchscreen pads velocity sensitive the game is over! I hope Pro-tools comes out for the ipad too!

to me there is no replacement for banging out on pads. touch screen beat making just doesn't move me..

I definitely feel ya on that, but I'd at least want to try it once to find out. The thought of never having to replace buttons sounds great to me. Just looking at what the software can do will eliminate quite a few pieces from my studio..especially my synth that I don't know how to play!

I'm really getting excited for an ipad now!

I do it. I also use it to control my mpc and asr's with custom midi.
