they sort of got that already modulator, with neko keyboards? but if akai decide to make a new machine( no pun intended) they should have a vga connect with the ability to to rewire the sequencer into a DAW or use the MP as a vst....

You want all software well here you go:Image+Image.
Now you got 4 x 16=64 midi tracks all for soft ware and for the next 10 years i can add software instruments plugs, melodyn studio plugs, more instruments  more instruments  more.

Not to be laughing at the ignorance off all this, people read the damm manual. Figure out what you trying to do and where you want your studio setup in the next 5-10 years. for Image $1900.00. What are you in the game for making musick or for someone else to make the musik for you.

I have no idea what u are blathering about. I have analogue and digital synths, outboard and drum machines (808, 606, 727, SC tom ) which I fire from my mpc. Soft synths are waKK compared to the REAL thing.
Quit yo jibba jabba and get some real synths and outboard and realise for urself ffs -.-
If plugins and soft synths are the future, then how long we all gotta wait? cos they aint soundin like the real thing to my ears atm. Analogue is analogue is analogue.... deal with it kids! Aint gonna replicate those analogue paths so easy no matter how much you wanna talk about emulations. 99% of music that uses soft synths is uber wakK compared to the music made by people that bring out a tune that is made with real analogue or digital hardware...... y'all know it.... so why think soft synths are still any good? convenience don't mean shit to the people actually listening to the tune!!!!

ok...

you have a total of 8 individuals. i know there must be more but that would still be a small amount compared to software producer...

wouldn't you say?

lol.. that list doesn't even come close to the amount of legendary producers and musicians on hardware.. lol 8

and with that. im certain even the super producers have some type of software as part of their arsenal.. but the hardware remains the focal point of their studio..

99% of people listening to the end product wouldn't be able to hear the difference, so it simply comes down to budget and personal preference.

If I had 3k to drop on the valve desk I've been looking at then I'd go for it, but for now I have to stack up plugins and remain mostly digital. It's all good though...

that s right!!! analogue rocks! i just got a sansamp tri ac with true analogue signal path and the sound is

amazing and direct compared to pods, tonelabs etc!!! the real thing is always better, if u can afford it....

i like the sound of arthuria synths, they come very close, and ist s so practical to have a few synths in my x60t on

the road...

Video of Justin Aswell (Mr. Invisible) ripping it up on Maschine:

By the way, some more good news for Maschine from NI as mentioned in their "On the Record" sessions. The next update to Maschine will most likely bring sidechaining and of course, it will be a free update. Other developments currently on the roadmap include timestretching (not just offline processing but in realtime), advanced sample manipulation features, and a more flexible arranger with unlimited number of scenes:

I have a hard time believing that any one on this board cares anymore.... Let folks use what they are comfortable with.

If Maschine had a bit more midi ins/outs and had audio ins/outs I'd definitely be far more interested in the product. As it stands now though I'll just wait for the 2.0 or 3.0 hardware to get released.

Good idea, but I'm willing to give it a few more iterations.

Hmm.. I don't see a need for new controller for Maschine happening. Even if that was to happen, it probably won't be anytime soon. I'm perfectly happy with it and it's not even an issue for most Maschine users. All that NI has to do is continue to develop the software which they're doing a great job at.

16 midi channels it has is enough for most people's sequencing needs whether you have external gear or not.

As for audio ins/outs, that's what an audio interface is for. If you mean software audio outs, I think 8 stereo/16 mono outs that it has currently is more than enough as well.

so are you saying that NI shouldn't add support for external MIDI Interfaces, because 16 MIDI channels is enough for most users?
you can't be serious!!!!!
