Just a little question about backup!

I have a question about back ups.
I don't know if this has been asked before but I was wondering if there is a way to save your info on cd-rom.

Example: Say you have some songs and you want to save all the info as sounds, tuneings, loops, etc.. as a cd-rom back up so that if you were to loose a zip drive, and all the info would you be albe to load the cd in the computer, and recopy all the files back to a zip drive that you have on your computer. And here is the catch, play the song as if it was taken from a zip, with out have to redo the entire song from scratch.

If this can be done, could somebody shead some light on it.

The only way is to save your complete song or sounds in some sort of software program.But the only way they would play back in a cd rom is if they were converted as wav. files.Or if you own an mp3 player you could save as mp3 files.That's the long way if you plan to back up like a million files but it'll work.There may be some other options....Anyone else.

Just doing drag & drop from an MPC zip disk when it is in a computer's zip drive you can save wav files & midi files to a computer.

With programs like MpcPgmMaker for Macs & its Windows eqivalent, you can save MPC programs & samples in the .snd format, so that is all your pad assignment & tuning data.

Once these are in your computer you can burn them to CD. If you have a SCSI CD ROM player that works with the MPC....I don't think many of us do.... you should be able to load your MPC direct from CD ROMs made on your computer, without having to step backwards through zip disks.

The midi files you can transfer between the MPC & a computer are the individual sequences but I'm not sure if anything lets you save a complete song as one long midi file....unless you have converted a song to one long sequence in the MPC.

Word so you can save each seq. that's cool cause if need to be it's better to have them seperate anyway i can always put hem in song mode later.
So tell me this how would i save the seq's. I know how to save the programs, and i have the program maker for windows(midicase) but i haven't used it in a few. is tere an option to save the seq's i don't remember.
